Fundraisers

The BELIEVE fundraiser was a success! PTSA is proud to announce that the fundraiser more than doubled our estimated profits. All profits from the fundraiser will go toward establishing PTSA's first yearly budget.

We would like to thank the top sellers for BELIEVE, and congratulate them on earning a limo ride for their efforts! These participants earned the luxury of riding in a 12-passenger limousine, complete with a laser light show on the roof! Before cruising through Lewis County, the kids had a photo session in front of the school, including a full student body send-off! (Pictures coming soon!) The limo escorted the group to Pizza Hut in Centralia, where they ate to their hearts' content! Following lunch, they limo-cruised the Centralia strip and the Wal-Mart parking lot, drawing the attention of fellow Lewis County-ites. Just FYI, if our kids raise enough funds, next year we might be able to spring for the 20-passenger HUMMER!!!

Around Town!

CONGRATS CHESS TEAM! The Onalaska Chess Team took FIRST PLACE at the State Regional Competition held in Onalaska on February 13, 2010. Five out of eight of our team members qualified for the State Chess Tournament to be held in April. Our third, fourth, and fifth grade winners were Zachary Huffman, with 2nd place, and Cameron Rider, with fourth place. In the sixth, seventh, and eighth grade competition our winners were Ian Richards, who took 3rd place and Caleb Huffman, who took fifth place. The chess team is on its way to another state qualifying competition March 20, 2010, in Chehalis. We wish them luck!

Welcome!

PTSA is proud to introduce our newsletter (on the web even)! We hope this will become one more way to build a bridge between school and community. Here we will keep you up to date on all things PTSA - announcing upcoming meetings, events, and fundraiser, as well as volunteer opportunities. PTSA will be introducing one member of the board each month to help us all get acquainted. Look for this in our Spotlight column. We hope you all enjoy our newsletter!
